Web Design, Development and any thing else

My latest project is learning how to make my own Wordpress theme. And this is my testing ground so things will be changing, however I will still be posting useful links and info about the wonderful world of web design/development as I learn.

I’ve found a few sites with tuts on Wordpress themes but have yet to read all the way through any of them. This first one is very beginner so it lost me fast (yes I know what a tag is) but would be good any one who is starting at square one. It can be found here.

The tut I’m working through know is from the web site of the web design magazine that I’m too cheap to buy (it’s $16, why do all the good magazines come from England?). We will see how that works out, so far I like that they are starting with a pre-made theme and making changes, so much simpler. Clicky!

Something that makes working with other peoples code much easier is the firebug plugin for Firefox. Hover over something and it shows you the code behind that element. Plus you can play with the code while you’re looking at. There is an IE lite version but why are you using IE for any thing other then a door stop?
